Durga Puja returns to Birmingham for five days of sarbojonin celebration — Panchami through Dashami — with pushpanjali every morning, dhak rhythms through the halls and the pandal open to all. Whether you have joined us for years or are experiencing your first puja, there is a place for you at the altar and at the table.
Expect the full run of rituals: khala pujana on Saptami, the sindoor khela farewell on Dashami and the immersion procession that closes the festival. Bhog is served free to all guests after the afternoon aarti, and our cultural evenings bring songs, dance and drama from the community stage.
What to expect
- Daily pushpanjali & aarti from 9:00 AM onwards
- Free bhog for every guest after the afternoon aarti
- Dhunuchi dance on Nabami & sindoor khela on Dashami
- Kids' corner, food stalls and community stage all five days
